Learn to decoupage, stencil and gold/silver/copper leaf onto painted surfaces
Usually following a chalk paint basic workshop, this is the next stage of furniture transformation using three main techniques on a sample board to take home.
The application of metallic leaf and transfer is a delicate operation but one that is good to learn, as it is a finish increasing in popularity for upcycled furniture. Stencilling has come a long way since the 1990’s and is also currently enjoying a revival, and decoupage is an amazing skill to get under your belt, as it’s a very fast way of giving those door and drawer fronts an instant ‘wow-factor’ appeal.
Use photographic realistic images or intricate patterns straight onto the surface quickly and effectively and give your furniture that instant and unique appeal to buyers. This is a fun and informal workshop with plenty to learn and lots of tutor guidance throughout.
