ANNIE SLOAN WORKSHOP – Friday 10th January 2020
I will be teaming up with ‘Raw Furniture’ for an ‘Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Class’ at Rebecca’s workshop ‘Raw Furniture’ in Ribchester, Ribble Valley. The class is ideal for anyone who would like to know basic and intermediate techniques and skills in using Annie’s Chalk Paint and Waxes.
On the 3 hour course, we will firstly talk to you about the environmental benefits to painting furniture and then discuss how preparation and inspiration is key to creating the perfect finished painted piece. Next we will experiment on sample boards with paint layering, brush techniques, colour combinations, white washing, stencilling and frottage. We will then complete the boards by distressing with different grade sandpapers and then seal the paint with Clear Wax and use Dark Brown, Black and White Waxes, to create lovely aged patinas and to enhance textures. By the end of the class, you will go away with the knowledge and confidence to start your own painted piece at home, as-well as understanding how up-cycling is great for a more sustainable world.
If you would like to attend this 3hr workshop, please contact either Rebecca or Patricia to book yourself on the course. The price is £65pp, which includes all materials and light refreshments will also be provided.
